WHAT WE BELIEVE:
We believe that the core cause of the historic and persistent racial disparities in Pinellas County, especially South St. Petersburg, is the structural racism that has shattered and continues to undermine the community and culture of one of its most enduring citizenry. The African American community, through an intentional focus upon race and its influence on the life and well-being of all of the citizens of the city and county, its valuing of God, African Spirit, strength, sanctity and power of self-determination must remember, reclaim, restore and realize the wisdom, traditions, and courage to build upon what was bestowed to us in order to serve the people and community present and yet to come.
